jiyan reminding us he still exists - Tower of Adversity [Wuthering Waves]

s0r1 jiyan, s6r1 mortefi! baizhi appearance this time since why not~

thought i'd take this week to level my jiyan who was still barely clearing floors in time at lvl70! he had sig and an aero set already so it just made sense to bring him all the way to 90~

i got asked a few times including by friends about their account and they had misconceptions that jiyan is suddenly bad now and not worth playing.. which ok i can understand if you don't have fun with him! but he's definitely not weak by any means and is still a top tier dps!

although i'll be honest playing jiyan makes me miss changli/encore, they're a lot more fun to me :( i don't really care for improving my aero set even more so back to fusion farming for me!

some ramblings about this team:

definitely could be faster - i'm clearing heron right at the end of my burst window but level7 skill talent+ lvl80 mortefi talents are still level 6 (also aero set missing a crit line/moonlit set missing a lot of crit). but because of the nature of the kill time, even a slight bit more damage will improve it a lot! also could reset for a run where heron doesn't jump and i'm forced to wait but am lazyy

he doesn't care at all for mortefi skill damage so cancels it with lib/heron and cadenza allows for it to be pretty seamless

baizhi is annoying to use but i guess she has two main things to note:
- dodging and then dodge-countering doesn't give a forte stack; i believe it's better to dodge and then dodge again to cancel the animation, like calcharo does usually
- when you swap her in and throw the pet it takes so much time, so i try to ult instantly to skip that part!

she just is way more frustrating and makes me wanna use verina :(( limited healer pls

next up is probably some jinhsi investment (although i wanna get my second fusion set fully finished..) - not sure if i'm pulling the next 2 banners or so, so not in any rush to prefarm or hoard mats for anything c: but i'm completely dry and have no echo exp.. kinda waiting for tacet field x2 on the 6th of August!

Powercreep is not only from damage, there's are other factors. If character teams are braindead to play then it's already a power creep. If without even min maxing character and still can dominate that's a power creep. LvL 90 is a huge boost aswell. But if someone like me who can clear even 2 and a half mins at LvL 70 that's a powercreep.

I love that the middle tower exists.
The two side towers are mostly catered towards the new characters but the middle tower lets you use your favorite characters and tests your skills.

While level 90 is huge, looks like you could probably do this at level 80 too. At 90, you probably didn't even need to use verina, can probably use yangyang too, which is insane. Nice vid. I wish there was a better way to identify which patch the ToA is being showcased.

jiyan are crazy he does 8x hit per atk easy to parry, i couldnt imagine if he possessed xiao's multiplier 🤣

Three things i learned from this video:
-Calcharo can dash cancel his dodge.
- The Tacet Field event is coming back!
-i should go build my Jiyan😭

I never saw an actual good Jiyan run outside whale that one rotate but damn.
His damage actual drop after the 1st rotation. He did less damage in the 2nd against both Heron and Mech.
Maygi's calcs were saying that his dps (and total damage) in loop weren't as high as the 1st initial and now I get it.
I guess Changli is the superior consistent dps.
