Definition of the Addition Operation on the Natural Numbers

We show that there is a unique way to define addition on the natural numbers from the Peano Axioms. It will follow from the construction that the successor of a natural number is that number plus one.

i have actual math coursework that i'm neglecting and it's not even like i care less about that topic, i'd just rather pretend to learn by vaguely listening to a lecture on something without any expectations on me than actually sitting down and doing what i have to do to complete my degree
