Good Morning...Y'all hope everyone is have a wonderful morning or evening. I believe my Papa wanted me to see this video for sure . This was his favorite dessert Tea cakes .Me and him would always sit in his kitchen and make tea cakes together. We started making them when I was 6 years old. We made them together until he died in 2000. It was our special time together. I was just thinking about his tea cakes two weeks ago. Thinking I needed to make them. This is a sign Mrs . Paula ... Oh goodness, my Grandmother was a purist. Absolutely no almond extract. Granddaddy would pour coffee in his saucer and put a tea cake on it to soak. The recipe had disappeared for years; I was visiting a great Aunt and she had it written on the back of an envelope. What a joyful day! I made them for my Daddy right away 😋
