Multiple sclerosis (MS) is a chronic autoimmune disease that affects the central nervous system. There are several medications available to treat MS, and they work by targeting the underlying mechanisms of the disease. In this video, I will decode the mechanism of action of multiple sclerosis medications. I will explore how these medications work to reduce inflammation, protect nerve cells, and modulate the immune system. We will also discuss the different types of MS medications and their specific mechanisms of action. My goal is to provide a comprehensive overview of the science behind multiple sclerosis treatment options and help you better understand how these medications work.

GREAT video! I've been diagnosed & taking DMD's for 13yrs. I started on Betaseron and am now on my 7th DMD. I didn't know how Betaseron worked til watching this. I've taken Aubagio too--same thing..didn't know!
I'm looking forward to you explaining the others! Tysabri was my favorite but my titre levels got too high after almost 4yrs on it.
I'm currently on Mavenclad & start my 2nd year dosing in May. It & Tysabri are the only ones that I know and understand how they work.
THANK YOU so much for taking your personal time to make these videos & for using "regular" language so I & everyone else who's not in the medical field can understand!

I went to a new neurologist yesterday. It was a horrible day seeing this new Doctor. She was down right mean. She just wanted to do a test where they put needles in my nerves. I don't want to do that test. I just wanted pain maintained. Anyhow so here I am getting worse, and suffering. Thank you for your post.

Thank you Dr. Boster I have taken glatamer acitate for 13 years. I responded well to it. I was told once it is derived from bee venom. I am allergic to bees so I thought that made sense. Novartis has stopped all assistance for that treatment. I am currently trying to get on a program for vumerity. Thank you for all the illuminating information. Bless you sir.
