Back in the day when I got this cd I had no idea about the different versions with the different bonus tracks. I randomly picked this version and I am so glad I did. I love this song.

I really feel like the emptiness of just tom and the guitar makes this track so emotional

a rare find. a true gem. Tom, what went wrong, no explanation needed. OG BLINK 182, BCR, now Angels and Airwaves got me to this exact moment. THANKS FOR UPLOADING THIS STELLAR SONG! 🤘

Too bad this song remains a bonus track only. I found this song about 1.5 months ago, and it became one of my top 10 favourite blink-182 songs for sure.. Lovely to see many fans like me praising this song. Despite being so simple, it definitely has a spot in my heart..

This song helped me get over a tough break up. It's initially sad to listen to but the more I listened, the more empowered I felt. I overcame great sadness with the help of this song. I'm now happily married :)

This album made me fall in love with music. My mom bought it for me cause she knew I wanted it cause it sounded funny. This song has been one of my favorites since I was 14. She liked it too. Til fuck a dog came on. Interesting car ride.

Blink-182 - What Went Wrong - Lyrics

[Verse 1: Tom DeLonge]
I'm sick of always hearing
All those sad songs on the radio
All day it is there to remind an over-sensitive guy
That he's lost and alone, yeah
I hate our favorite restaurant, favorite movie, our favorite show
We would stay up all through the night
We would laugh and get high
And never answer the phone

[Chorus: Tom DeLonge]
I can't forgive
Can't forget
Can't give in what went wrong
Cause you said this was right
You fucked up my life

[Verse 2: Tom DeLonge]
I'm sick of always hearing
Sappy love songs on the radio
This place, it's fucking cursed and it's plagued
And I can never escape when my heart it explodes

[Chorus: Tom DeLonge]
I can't forgive
Can't forget
Can't give in what went wrong
Cause you said this was right
You fucked up my life

[Outro: Tom DeLonge]
I'm kicking out fiercely at the world around me
What went wrong
I'm kicking out fiercely at the world around me
What went wrong
I'm kicking out fiercely at the world around me
What went wrong
I'm kicking out fiercely at the world around me
What went wrong
I'm kicking

This is a great song - might've even been an early Boxcar Racer song as that album had a few tracks that are similar. Love Tom's old punky-er voice.

Blink 182, the soundtrack to my teenage years and.... well my whole life now i think about it.
It wouldn't surprise me if I have blink played at my funeral.
Although if I'm alive to hear it at my funeral, that will be a surprise.

Takes me back to 2001, when I was rebellious 10th grader, who finally got a car and a license. Many of my friends did as well, so we'd hang out late and drive around everywhere, listening to different bands, with almost no other cares about anything but then and there, not the future at all. Typical 15/16 year old jackassery stuff. My one friend, who was into b182 more than any of us, played this one on repeat like 7-10 times one night. I was into a very diverse catalog of music - from punk and grunge, to metal/heavy and nu metal, classic country and all the way to rap and hip-hop. It was a completely different time from today, some of it cringy but I wouldn't trade those days and nights for anything bc they made me who I eventually became today and that's just fine.
