Operation of a DuoControl CS

With Truma DuoControl for two gas cylinders, you can control the gas pressure in your motor home or caravan. Discover how the gas controller works and what you should pay attention to.

1. Select the operating cylinder (00:28)
Use the control knob to choose the operating cylinder manually (the left cylinder in the video).

2. Draw gas from the operating cylinder (00:30)
If the pressure in the operating cylinder is adequate, the inspection window is green.
If your vehicle also has a remote indicator*, this will also be green.
The gas is drawn from the selected operating cylinder until the pressure in the cylinder falls below 0.5 bar.

3. Empty operating cylinder/switch to reserve cylinder (01:00)
In the inspection window, the colour changes to red and the DuoControl CS automatically switches to the full reserve cylinder (in this case, the one on the right). The gas is now drawn from the second gas cylinder.
During this time, you should have the empty operating cylinder refilled. The inspection window remains red.
A red lamp also illuminates on the remote indicator*. (01:03)

4. Change the operating cylinder (01:24)
When the second cylinder has been refilled, the operating cylinder can be changed. To do this, turn the control knob (to the right in the video). The gas is still drawn from the right-hand cylinder, but the inspection window is green again.
The same applies to the display of the remote indicator* (01:30).

5. Cycle
When the pressure falls below 0.5 bar, the system switches automatically to the reserve cylinder again (now on the left) and the cycle starts all over again.

In this way, DuoControl ensures a continuous supply of gas for your appliances, especially if the vehicle is stationary for long periods.

If the gas switches over to the 2nd bottle automatically - what therefore is the purpose of the knob on the regulator? I cannot understand this.
