Lots of overnight parking in Key West, am I missing something?

I was scared I wouldn’t find overnight parking in Key West Florida. I drove down early and thought I would have to drive back the same day. I found lots of overnight parking spots. What am I missing?

Go where the tourists aren't and move daily, unless you meet a cool family that invites you to a steak and shrimp backyard feast, let's you park in their driveway, hooks you up with electricity, and says "go explore, you can nite park here for a couple days" True story.

We travel to Key West quite often in our camper van, have never tried to stealth camp inside the city limits. Have always had good luck going back north near the Navy Base and camping` in some of the little off roads. We also have camped at the local marina's and boat ramps with no

Yeah I think you can find a good parking spots, as long as you avoid the high tour season. Good video by by the way!

I was there from the 27th of November thru December 23rd and there was tons of car/van parking but RV's had issues. I was able to help out a couple in a medium sized RV. The cops don't seem interested in harassing anyone for anything. I slept in the police parking lot, right by the school. It was a good dark spot.

Just remember, there may be parking, but when you go is a big deal, went in October, the temperature LOWS were 79 degrees every night, and those lows are at 4am... and very humid.

Supposedly, It's against the law to sleep on the ground or in a vehicle anywhere in the state of Florida unless you are registered in a campsite. And supposedly it’s strictly enforced which means if caught, You will get a free ride to spend the night on a hard bunk behind bars. Supposedly.
