Staghorn Ferns - Visually stunning and easy to grow!

Staghorn Ferns, with their distinct antler-like fronds, are a captivating addition to any indoor or outdoor space. These epiphytic plants thrive in bright, indirect light and high humidity, mimicking their natural rainforest habitat. They prefer mounting on wood or being hung, which allows for excellent air circulation around their root system. What makes staghorn ferns particularly intriguing is their dual-leaf structure: the flat, shield-like basal fronds protect the roots and absorb water, while the foliar fronds perform photosynthesis. Their unique growth habit and striking appearance make them a conversation piece, offering a touch of exotic elegance. Staghorn Ferns are the perfect for plant enthusiasts looking for a low-maintenance yet visually stunning specimen.

Growing up in FL, I had a beautiful staghorn fern. It moved with me to AL but sadly, when I moved to PA, I left it behind because I knew I would have nowhere to keep it in the winter. Over 40 years later, I still wonder if my staghorn is alive and making someone as happy as it made

Thanks. I have a smallish staghorn fern that I grow in a pot due to space issues. I can confirm that scale insects love this plant!

In my region the temperature goes up like 45 degrees Celsius.

I don't think even in shaded place it will survive.

I love the plant but I can't grow it.
