Russian capsule returns from space mission

The Soyuz spacecraft carrying three crew members, including the first Briton to join the International Space Station (ISS), has safely returned to Earth.

British astronaut Tim Peake, Russian cosmonaut Yuri Malenchenko and American astronaut Timothy Kopra have spent the last six months on the ISS carrying out scientific experiments.

Al Jazeera’s Victoria Gatenby explains.
