Royal Up is a unique program offered by Royal Caribbean, designed to enhance passengers' onboard experiences.

This innovative feature allows travelers to bid on cabin upgrades, often at a fraction of the original cost.

Passengers submit their desired bid for an upgrade, and if their offer is accepted, they can enjoy a more luxurious stateroom with added amenities, such as larger spaces, better views, or exclusive perks like priority boarding and access to private lounges.

Royal Up adds an element of excitement and anticipation to cruising, enabling passengers to potentially elevate their vacation without breaking the bank, making their journey even more memorable.

For us, we put in many bids for different sized rooms. We had originally booked a ocean balcony and was upgraded to a Large ocean balcony, which is practically a wheelchair accessible room.

This room was MASSIVE with one of the largest balconies you can have without paying for a suite.

Let’s give you a tour.

How do you know what the minimum bid is? I've got a couple of bids in for a couple of rooms, but don't know what to bid. Thanks for the video!

I would feel bad asking for an upgrade for this room if someone who is disabled would need it…

Congrats on scoring a handicapped room. It should be noted that bidding on a bigger balcony does not assure a person of getting the handicapped (larger room). When using Royal Up, the minimum bid brings the price of the stateroom you are bidding on back to where it was when sales first began for that particular cruise. So, you are not Saving from the original price. It's just the cruise lines way of selling a more expensive cabin and leaving the cheaper cabin empty if they are unable to sell all the cabins. Also, a Junior Suite is larger than a handicapped balcony stateroom and comes with extra perks including DOUBLE Crown and Anchor points, a Lavazza coffee maker in the room, and dining in the suite restaurant Coastal Kitchen. As an experienced Travel Agent, I always try to keep people informed of their own best interests. ENJOY your cruise!
