Fuzz comparison TC Electronic Honey Pot Fuzz vs Rusty Fuzz

This is a comparison of two TC Electronic pedals, the Honey Pot Fuzz and the Rusty Fuzz. The pedals sound very different from each other but both can create some great fuzz tones.
This is a long video but I wanted to show how many different tones you can get from these pedals as you raise the SUSTAIN / FUZZ.

I created a piece of music to demonstrate the fuzz pedals on choppy rhythm guitar, sustained chords and lead guitar.

In the video, I play the same loop of music three times so I can vary the TONE control at three different levels of SUSTAIN / FUZZ.

I used a fender USA stratocaster into a Marshall JTM-45 for the fuzz pedal parts and a fender mexican jazz bass DI'd. The synth sounds are VST plugins.

This is a really good demo. People need to know how these sound in the mix with drums and bass, too many demos just focus on the guitar on its own.

The solution is really to just use both together 😁 I run my Boss MT2 into a Honey Pot and it sounds great

Honeypot sounds more like a big muff and the Rusty fuzz more like a tone bender. Apart from the fact that the Honeypot has some more mids than a normal big muff and less bass. I think I really like the honeypot fuzz, gonna order one now.

The Rusty Fuzz has better dynamics, sounds more alive - it has that "magic".

Man! Thank you so much for your videos. I watched the fuzz for bass. Surprisely here the honeypot has much more volume that the Rusty, but is conpletely diferent in the scenario with the bass.

Im a bass player, which fuzz pedal do you recomend for the bass?

I can’t help but to notice that you don’t have the volume knobs at the same level. It makes me wonder if the Honey Pot is naturally louder.

The guitar on the clean channel does not sound natural. How do you want to compare fuzz. Very poor test
