Yes, there is.
click the menu up, down right where the clock is, and Screen rotation button, should be green(if not showing, scroll the buttons sideways) click it so it's not green, then it locks screen rotation

I paid £230 for mine. Why are they so more expensive to buy in the uk? Also has anyone found a way of storing apps to sd card? So angry when I found out you couldn't do this.

oh, and the screenshot button, it's possible to remove it and put another button instead, like i made it a camera button for quick access

Sure you can download kindle App or Kindle appstore on it :D ! and you can sync every books into your tablet easily, all you need is the internet connection :D

I have a Kindle Fire but its not the HD, however I suggest the Galaxy Tab, I'm getting it as well. The Kindle Fire has very limited memory with no SD slot so it fills up very fast, also you can't get all the apps you want since it runs on the Amazon market instead of Google Play.

I actually have this tablet. Its a very good overall tablet. The cameras aren't bad. Not blow you away good but not bad. The speaker is very loud... Wish it wasnt on the side I have to say. Clearly mutes sound. The tablet has a nice feel to it. Easy to hold. Very good gaming and just web surfing. I would recomend this to anyone.

i love to have this tablet next to my computer, on a stand, so i can easily check stuff if i get stuck in a game, or want to multitask
