Story 2- I’ve been in the situation of taking clothes off while in hysterics (long story short- had a medical episode made worse by heat and panicked trying to cool off before I passed out) and it really doesn’t hit you for a few seconds! I was mid way through lifting my shirt when I realized/thought “HELLO YOURE IN PUBLIC?? PUT IT DOWN”

When your brain goes into survival/safety mode your rationality can go away really quickly 😂 NTA and I would be cautious of a partner who worries more about how you “put on a show” rather than the reason why the shirt was pulled in the first place (possibility of severe burns)!!

Gonna say the second story is totally believable to me. I've known a lot of guys (family 🤮) like that guy. They can't see women as anything more than sex objects and therefore something to be ashamed of, and they assume that's how everyone else sees them too. So an accidental flash is a shameful event that they should immediately run from and hide the shameful female body that produced it.

Everyone always thinks the pictures they want are explicit when a lot of the time they want normal activity pictures and vids that let them use their imagination. It was on a documentary I saw some years back. I've been against anyone posting their children online since.

A person should never have to worry about the decency of their naked body if it’s in a situation causing harm. Burns from regulation temperature coffee is still a pretty bad injury and all she had to do to avoid it was to temporarily expose her top. Good on op for her quick thinking.

Post 3: yeah, ESH. Opie was definitely in the wrong for saying that to her co-worker but her co-worker was also being incredibly distasteful. I have a young son myself I get how exciting it is to be pregnant and bring a baby into the world but I also recognize that a lot of women struggle with that so I would never go out of my way to constantly talk about it around the office especially after one of my co-workers has confided in me that she has had her own struggles with fertility and that it's a sensitive topic for her. I would not go out of my way to complain about my swollen feet and sore back when Opie would give anything to deal with those things to have a baby of her own. It's just a really really touchy sensitive subject
