My chapter actually placed one. When you think of the math of this. DAR started in the late 1800's, Rev War was over by the 1780's. So a woman was alive in the late 1800's whose parent was serving over 100 years earlier. These daughters are usually 75+ and they were some of the last kids born to one or both parents.

My grandma was a elected official in the DAR. Now have geneological records going back 26 generations. The certificates of service for the vets was especially interesting, some were 10yo drummer boys.
