EP: 16: Bridge, plaster, Piko, and purpose.

I make a new bridge of a freelance design, do more hardshell, and we take a look at Piko's new HO scale Krauss-Maffei ML-4000 diesel-hydraulic locomotives with DCC and sound. As the other non-railroad household projects have wound down, you'll see more frequent content as the layout is now my main focus. We've remodeled literally every room in the house, and now that it's done, I've got time for toys!

Just last week I came to your channel to see if I had missed any uploads. I was wondering about you and hoping everything was okay with you. I don't know you at all, but I enjoy your content for some reason, despite not really having any particular interest in model trains myself. I guess your content is somewhat therapeutic. Glad to see you're back, and I hope you are doing well.

Mr Grabbag, I've watched from the beginning. Your creativity is astonishing, and the layout design everything I've ever imagined. Great to see you back!

Thanks so much for sharing your layout and adventures! It is so relaxing to watch the layout come along step by step. The adventures are just as inspirational!

Hello Sir! Being an Englishman (albeit living in Wales) I'm pretty familiar with the sights but 35006 is always worth seeing. 2807 spent many years at the scrapyard in Barry where it was the oldest locomotive for a long time. Lovely to see it working.
The sheer scale and ambition of your layout is breathtaking, I've been following since your second video and each time I'm more impressed. It's magnificent. The other thing I love about your videos are the countless modelling tips, I have learned so much and put them to good use. Thanks for sharing, look forward to the next one!

Just to let you know I'm a huge fan of the longer form content (the longer the better!)

Loved the Silverstone footage. I live just down the road, and we have a long tradition of watching The Red Arrows then having a BIG family and friends BBQ with the race on TV and the live sound right there in the background. Amazing to see your Railroad growing - you just don't get that epic scale of landscape in the UK. I have a space of 13'6" x 9'6"... and that is considered "large"!

find it interesting that you share my love of f1 (since the late 50s early 60s) as well as english heritage /history (being german married to an english woman over 50 years) as well as being a model railway enthusiast both british prototype as well as german in H0 of course...cheers.

The tunnel was a strange angle, nice job. I like all of your tunnels and trestles. Great trip to Silverstone. Hamilton went on a tear there for a while and then Verstappen took over for a while. I’ve been a NASCAR fan for years and probably went to 25 to 30 races, a lot of fun. The layout looks great and it’s so true that the hard shell changes the open benchwork drastically. Thanks for taking us along.

Impressive as ever. I didn't know Piko did US outline (assuming it's the same Piko as the German Piko). Glad you appear to have had a good time over here in England. The Red Arrows always put on a good show, all the more impressive as their Hawk aircraft are around 45 years old, which coincidentally is about how long it is since I last went to Thornbury Castle!
Keep up the good work!
