This week I take a look at the Triton Belt and Bobbin sander that I purchased last August and review how it has behaved over the intervening 8 months.

May I suggest small bungee cord attached to each side to stop the extra cylinders for falling out and the washers could be put in a pill case than take tacky glue or duct tape case to side of machine, washers cant get lost that way in the case use organe duck tape itl match machine..

Great review, have been considering buying one for myself, If using the 75mm Dia sanding tube, maybe a new table insert could be made using the 3D printer method, just a thought.

There is a vid showing the 3” bobbin with a home made insert made of wood. There is another vid showing how to make a fence which make it useful for getting a nice 90deg finish.

I wouldn't want it. It doesn't have a miter gauge slot. It's incredible how useful they are.

Best review I’ve seen on this. Thanks for sharing. Curious if you’ve tried using it for sharpening chisels or other blades?

I had a problem with mine in that after a couple of months the belt wouldn’t track well. It’d either rise or fall even with numerous attempts to adjust. Have you had the same problem? I tried new belts too and did the same thing. I sent it back and been offered a refund or a replacement. I’m now at a quandary whether to get a refund and upgrade to a 1 hp at £600 just for the bobbin but not sure whether I’ll get £400 worth of extra sanding capabilities other than that it’s run 60 grit whereas the triton seems to only go to 80 grit which I’m guessing Is due to the lack of power.

lol your small shed looks bigger from the inside . just ordered mine from Amazon with extra sleeves and the 75 mm drum . I've watched several vids on this machine. and pretty much you all say the same things poor dust extraction which in most cases go's for any electric power tool for working with wood. but really I don't think its that bad for having two different set ups on one machine and for me it will prove handy for making whirly gigs

Thanks for the vid. Unfortunately everything that I can find points this machine to the same as the Harbor Freight machine. Same spindles, same exterior, amps etc. I have to think twice about buying this one over the Ridgid
