How is Griffin supposed to change his path in mid-air? Exactly, he can't, the defender has to legally challenge a shot at the rim (legal guarding position, verticality) or he has to let him dunk. Those are the only options that don't lead to a foul.

As I said, the league ruled it a FLAGRANT 1. That means it WAS an offensive foul. It's not just that one play, he did it before at the beginning of the game which should have been ruled an over the back foul, the league babies him. Plain and simple. Oh well, as Andrew Bynum said, Blake Griffin can have all the highlights he wants, winning is what is more important.
