Thank you Flo. No tutorial on YOUTUBE had covered phase issues, like you do. I had copy an acoustic guitar track to create another track to pan, and it does not work stereo wise. Now I know why!! Great to know that electric guitar, although recorded twice may face phase problem. Your tutorial is always full of fascinations. God bless you!.

Great tutorial as always Flo.👏 In addition to the wonderful info you mentioned, just wanted to add a couple of things around phase

1) A simple, and probably the most easiest way of checking if you have phase issues is by playing your track in Mono. If the intensity or colour or presence reduces, then we have a phase issue. Almost all DAWs have a simple in the box VST for mono mix check. We can use that
2)A crude, but effective way of removing phase cancellation is by moving one of the competing tracks ever so slightly by a micro milli second such that the ups and downs of the waveforms are better aligned

Thank you :)

Hi Florina✨, when I first started learning music production on Mac, I used GarageBand without any prior knowledge of DAWs. I relied on YouTube tutorials, practiced consistently, and gradually learned but it took a lot of time. Now, I have fully switched to Logic Pro, but I’ve noticed that the available tutorials are still quite time-consuming to follow.
I have a request could you create some beginner-friendly videos on GarageBand in your style? Many beginners who can’t afford Logic Pro would really benefit from your guidance. Thank you!

Does phase matter overmuch if one produces all their music “in the box” and not with. “real” instruments? I’ve never really worried too much about it before, and I’ve published around 200 original recordings on Audiomack. They sound pretty good to my ears. 😁
