I didn’t know I could draw until I took a drawing class at college when I was 45! She was amazing and taught me how to see. Then 3 years ago I started a watercolor journal to get out of a dark time in my life. Nothing negative was allowed in my journal and my mood changed rapidly!

Seven years old in VBS one summer, we made things with paper mache and I can still smell it. ☺ Now I paper mache, watercolor paint, and work with clay, all just for fun!! Love Art! Great video, will be trying this tonight. Thank you 🎨

I love doing these when I'm in a bit of a funk, and perelyne green is also of my favorite colours. At $17 for a tiny tube, I often make my own version for practicing.

I can’t remember a time when I wasn’t involved in art . My Mom and her 3 sister were all into art but more so after all us kids grew up . I took every art class that our JR. High and High School had to offer . I started painting as a preteen and still am involved in art at 69 yrs old . I recently started taking pottery classes and am having a ball . I enjoyed this tutorial !

I fell in love with art at an early age. When I was 13, my mother took me to Chouinard Art School for a summer life drawing class. She was a student there. I formally studied art for my BA earned in 1975. Then did none until I retired in May of 2022. Now I am compelled to create art. I do realistic pastel painting of animals and am trying to get good at loose watercolor landscapes. So glad that I stumbled across your videos on YouTube!

Gosh I can't remember when I fell in love with art; I've always done it! My love of art was passed onto me by a family member and that helped kickstart my development, but I've always been looking to improve since I was a wee kid.

My love of history also heavily tied in with art. I got a lot of inspiration from museums as a child and I still do today. The techniques of the old masters have always fascinated me, so I tend to work in very archaic styles. In fact, I recently completed an A1 portrait using the chiaroscuro method of Caravaggio!

Earliest memory of loving art was elementary school. I would draw designs on my lesson pages.
My mom was a hobby artist, she taught me basics and bought me a couple cheap books on drawing horses and animals. Still paint those. Spent years painting landscapes and animals. Now at 62 yrs old I started learning watercolors and am taking a class in botanical illustration. I still have fun with animals and some fantasy art.

I fell in love with art when I got treatment for ptsd through combat stress (military veteran mental health charity). It changed my life

I am the 3rd of 4 kids. I can't remember a time when our Mum didn't have us around a table making, drawing and generally being busy. For years each Christmas each kid got a 'box' in which we got our own scissors, tape, rulers, coloured paper, and things to colour with.

I've always liked art. My grandma used to buy me an art set for my birthday when I was a child. I really got into art when I tried out calligraphy for the first time and wanted to try more different projects and how I could make it look nice and pretty. Then I got into water color painting and just enjoyed it as a relaxing hobby.

First, jour paibtings Are really good and nice to take in. My question or feedback is that most turorials like these tend to leave out how much Waiting time you use between layers. That is, mostly, the reason that i often ruined my atemps on wet on wet.

I don't use that much paint in a month and I paint daily! Very useful technique, thanks.
