lots of fielders over the years make that same move Derek Jeter decoyed runners all the time to slow them down.

nothing wrong with this play. it's harpers fault for sliding awkwardly and just ignoring his 3rd base coach in general. the coach would have told him to slide if the ball was actually coming

Watch it again and you can see that if Harper or the third base coach saw how bad the throw was, he could've scored. In a perfect world the throw would've hit a cutoff man and none of this would have happened, but Kang is out there to do everything he can to help his team win and that play protected them from going down a run. If you think Kang is just malicious I dare you to find a play where he is intentionally trying to hurt someone

I don't think it's that big of deal because Kang did that he stop Bryce Harper. It's Bryces fault because he didn't slide right. If Kang did have the ball Bryce still would have got hurt because of his slide.

people crying bush league because he got hurt lol
i didn't play pro ball but when i played college ball i saw it a lot and did the same myself as a middle infielder pretending to turn a double play on a pop up while the baserunner was stealing. i agree with the fact that when Jeter did it everyone called it a smart play but the baserunner could've gotten hurt there as well.
bottom line is that Harper should've look at his third base coach who did not motion to slide or anything. he saw and pointed to the ball going wide going to Harper's right

Harper wasn't going to score so it was a pussy move by kang to hurt harper. The third base coach was telling him to stop at third while standing.
