L’Étape Australia provides amateur riders with an experience as close to riding in the Tour de France as it is possible to get with fully closed roads and a mountainous course. This is a unique immersion in the Tour de France without having to take the plane to travel to the other side of the world! The atmosphere at L’Etape Australia is truly amazing with spectators coming out with cow bells and flags encouraging and supporting the riders along the route.

L'Etape by Le Tour de France is a series of amateur cycling events designed to experience Le Tour de France Legend. It is the only event where you can race and feel like a Tour de France champion, and where you can enjoy the Tour de France unique atmosphere and passion.

“The Tour de France is the world's greatest cycling race. Each year it is passionately followed by fans around the world so it has naturally given rise to L'Etape by Le Tour de France series”, said Christian Prudhomme, Tour de France director. The series has now expanded to 14 international locations including Colombia, Wales, Mexico, China, and Australia.

Among these Tour de France official cycling events is of course L'Étape du Tour. With a peloton of 15 000 riders and 50 nationalities, it is Europe's biggest cycling event. Riding on the same routes and under the same conditions as Tour de France champions: this is the promise that L'Étape du Tour has kept since 1993.
