This tutorial will show how to configure the Permission scheme in Jira Cloud. I will also show you how to set up a new group and role. So just follow my instructions and implement all changes in your Jira instance.

As i understand correctly, the permission can be applied either through Global permissions (which give access to all the project) or through Permission scheme (associating that to the project and having roles assigned). I see you did both. (Sorry if i have missed a statement that you mentioned about this)

I found this very helpful. Question, at minute 16, you copied the Default Permission Scheme rather than the Default software scheme? Why? I'm not clear on the different purposes of these 2 schemes.

With NextGen projects there are no permissions to configure. You simply add people to the project and the permissions are all defaulted.
