I haven't listened to the podcast since episode 202 almost exactly a year ago. This afternoon, I played this one while restarting my old evening supermegacast ritual of walking up and down my long driveway while listening to and smelling nature. Sorry to be cheesy but their voices brought such a visceral feeling of nostalgia that I almost cried at Matt's fart joke at the beginning. I missed you guys!

Diatomaceous earth can help with the war on fleas, it's just a super fine mineral powder that can get inside there shell and mess them up. And it's safe for animals and can be put all over anny surface.

Ryan, I'm not sure if this will work, but I have found that dish soap in water kills fleas immediately on contact. Whenever I brush my dogs with a flea comb in between brushing I dip the comb in soapy water and they die instantly. Idk if it will do anything for your patio flea problem, but you can use organic eco-friendly dish soap (what I use, I prefer the smell) so it shouldn't hurt the environment. You could make a mix and put it in a spray bottle and douse the patio maybe like in the morning and evening? Who knows, but it may help and it's relatively cheap and easy.

if ur back patio has an outlet/if you can run an extension cord out back try a sticky dome flea trap. i use the victor brand ones and they rule. it uses a lightbulb to attract the fleas bc they seek out heat and when they get to the light they get stuck on the sticky pad that comes with it. since california is sups hot nighttime may be your best shot
