Out On The Street Again - Etta James - 1974

Out On The Street Again, was a single lifted from Etta James' 1974 album titled, Come A Little Closer. The song was written by Trevor Lawrence and Gabriel Mekler, who produced the album with the intent of positioning James for the FM radio underground rock market without losing her rhythm and blues roots. The song is as good as anything put out by the Temptations or Curtis Mayfield during this time period but it didn't get much commercial play.
