I guess as an Indian we usually challenge other countries on the spices easily 😂😂😂 🙈

I think Indian spicy is a mix of various spices. Its not just hot like Chili and peppers. Where as Japanese spicy is exactly that... Different kinds of chillis and peppers.

As a Assamese, korean spicy noodles are not any more spicy than any curry we eat here everyday.

Yes! 😂This happened to me at a Thai restaurant in US- I assumed the extra spicy would be at American levels, because the American Indian restaurant spicy were toned down. 🥺
But in the other East Asian restaurants I realised their extra spicy means extra hot.🔥🌶️
That's when I realised that the Indian spice hotness vs different kinds of chilly pepper variety hotness in Thai restaurants in US is completely different. 😳🙃
I couldn't even finish that meal and when I took the left over home thinking adding more rice to my rice dish would tone down the spiciness/hotness- it didn't. 😭😞
I eventually threw it away- a crime according to my Indian roots; 😅🤷‍♀️

This happened to me in a Thai restaurant in Berlin. I told them to bring me Thai level spicy thinking I could handle the spice - clearly I have overestimated myself

South East Asian level of spice is another level. Cannot even handle Korean noodles lowest spice level, sets my stomach on fire everytime.

If you’re Indian and actually think Japan is spicy…oof, you still got your training wheels on, ya?
