Cassie is there a way to position your ring lights so they dont glare in your glasses but still help? Maybe higher? It is really distracting. Hoping it’s an easy fix. ❤️

I disagree about the content needing separate channels to an extent. I agree for extreme differences in content but I like my YT to mix vlogging, beauty, unboxings etc. those are all similar to me and I like variety- not same thing every time. To each their own though lol

I would highly recommend to also change workspace a bit, working from home makes you very isolated from the rest of the world, which might make you withdrawn. If you can work from a laptop just bring it to the park, a cafe or whatever and just do your work there rather than at home at all times. This was my problem, I got too comfortable working from home all the time, just because I could so... don't do my mistake :D

I work from home 5 days a week ( not doing You tube) but I always make sure I get dressed and wear some sort of makeup, maybe lipstick, mascara and eyebrows. I never ever work in pj's!

This is all so true for working from home in general. It's SO easy to fall into the "lazy sidetrack" while working at home.

You truly are one of the sweetest and most genuine persons I’ve seen on YouTube. I’m so happy you are able to do this for a living, you’re doing a really great job. Thank you for all the info on this. Found it really interesting to hear your perspective on it. Hope all is well in your new apartment! Can’t wait to hear how you and your sweet kitties are doing❤️

You have to have 1000 subscribers and 4, 000 hours of watch time before you can monetize.. Iv done YouTube off and on for 9 years lol I finally got my first check 3 years ago I think? I was so excited! Then shortly after they changed the policy (to what I just said) and I haven’t t made money since 😜 I love making videos though so I keep doing and hope to one day reach the 4, 000 hours of watch time lol

Thanks Cassie! Ive had my channel since 2016, but didn’t really start grinding and “putting out content for other’s” until this past March when I started unboxings. Monetization is a little different now than the way you mentioned it. Now you have to have at least 1k subscribers and 4k hours of watch time before YT will monetize you. But with that being said I do agree with all the things you said. Ive run a few bars in my day, and I have run my own business too (pole fitness) so grinding is grinding regardless of the platform, but I 100% stand by all the tips you gave. I just recently became monetized again (since they changed the rules). Like literally yesterday...lol. Thanks for sharing!

Rule one: Don't allow racism to occur on your channel even if it's not directed at you :)

(Yeah sis you're still canceled in my book, you didn't learn three days after the fact, you didn't learn 2 years after the fact.)

Thanks for this video! Having been self-employed for almost 9 years, I could totally relate to what you said. I think the thumbs-downs came from people with a steady income... I often wish that independent entrepreneurs shared more of their struggles in order to strengthen and encourage each other. Being self-employed constantly poses the danger of self-exploidation despite the "freedom" and all that jazz.

I've been thinking about it. The only thing is that whenever I get recorded I shy away and can't be myself. Thank you for the video this was great Cassie <3

Cassie! Once upon a time I had ideas that I thought were unique to start up a YT channel, I tried filming them, but nothing ever was in my opinion "good enough for YT standards" so I deleted w/o posting them. About a month later I saw a few channels popping out or switched to this very same kind of content. Needless to say I now deeply regret it!
I know this is long, but I hope you get to this part. I've always felt identified w/you out of having the same issues w/foundation wear. After this video I feel even more identified w/you. Random note: I'm a Gemini too 🤭

Thank you for your advice, I'm a new channel, and it's my passion. Editing has been my challenge
I want to empower the "mature " woman to feel beautiful because I'm 52 years old. It's a demographic that I feel that's almost forgotten. I make my bed every day lol! I just feel so much better when I do, to go about my day. Thank you for the sage advice ❤❤❤
