The OG had the air unit in forefoot as well, I highlight the breakdown of the pamphlet you can see in my 91-08-21 comparison. If nike put in the time and effort like they did in am90 recraft this would have been perfect opportunity with OG box and super cool pamphlet that came with the OG. '21 mesh on toe is definitely better, not as concave when you walk like the '08 retro and softer polyurethane but like you said the comfort isn't quite as good as am90 recraft.

Its crazy to me how slept on this shoe is. Love the tri-tone color ways and basically upgrade to the classic AM90. Its got that nod to the jagged wacky geometric shapes of the 90s

This is actually one of my favorite shoes of all time. I’m on my second pair of the 2009 retro “Shattered Earth”, which is the same color way as this shoe with the grey, pink and blue, except the toe was all grey as well and the midsole had the awesome “shattered earth” pattern on it.

Dope video Chris! As you can probably tell from my profile photo I run, and run just as much as I’m an OG sneakerhead/nerd/enthusiast whatever you wanna call it, and is running in the current zoom structure running shoe as well as other nike shoes, and have been for the past 18 years. However I did cop these recently and nostalgically, I also copped these with no issues in the 11th grade back in 91. In fact I cut class to go get these at my my nearest athletes foot so you can kinda guess my age.

Also I totally agree with the consistency on the OG treatment. These definitely deserved much better treatment nonetheless but happy they re-released these. Also the TPU units built into the polyurethane midsole were just pillars to help support the already firm wedged shape midsole of the shoe, that was ultimately designed & structured to only mitigate and decelerate over-pronation and not stop it completely. As someone who also trains athletes as well and works at a particular brand, it’s great to see how it all started! Pure nostalgic for me on all angles.
