Cynically panned by many DJs and music critics this gem from 1969 is always raised when the Eurovision song contest is discussed on TV and Radio. I recall it being played at fringe events at last years contest in Liverpool, some 54 years after it was in the charts, what musical legacy came out of Eurovision in the last few decades that gets any airplay nowadays ? Lulu really was a top performer.

Gorgeous song. I love the verse, chorus, post-chorus, verse, chorus, post-chorus, post-chorus construction. Very invitational in the manner of following year's Eurovision song Knock, Knock Who's There? from Mary Hopkin and non-Eurovision song Don't Sleep in the Subway from Petula Clark from 1967.

This is the first time I've heard this song in English. My folks had an anthology record featuring German versions and German songs. The late Heidi Bruhl did the German version of Boom A Bang Bang. Good job, Lulu.😊

Lulu should have been knighted for all her services for all the tracks she sang throughout the years. To win The Eurovision Song Contest way back in 1969 for The United Kingdom with The Track Boom Banger Bang .The Man With The Golden Gun from the theme of the Bond Film .Her discography is never ending .Lulu is profoundly underated .

Such a cutesy song whereby the lady is being very invitational and seductive and is tenderly enticing the man into a relationship, with no crudities, just tenderness, rather like Mary Hopkin's Knock Knock Who's There and Petula Clark's Don't Sleep in The Subway.
