I quite like the Mk1 s with the original colour keyed chrome hub caps, my dad had the 1974 Ghia wagon in fern green metallic with beige cloth interior. Plenty of room for me and the girlfriend to sleep in the back if we wanted to.

A friend of mine had a british built Consul GT 3.0 2 door, he sold it to an idiot who wrecked it. damn shame, love the essex v6, the cologne engines has siamesed exhaust ports.

beautiful car, not like the plastic, puffy and computered car of today. But i can see rust on it. To fight rust, there is only one real way to stop it. remove the friable rust and put grease on the metal. To avert the future advent of rust, be sure to put grease everywhere inside the car : inside the wings, doors, on the floor under the carpet, behind the bumper. Rust very generaly always comes from inside (except when you scratch the body), at the place of welds.
When you repair a hole of rust in the body, if you do not want to see it coming back, , no need to paint, just put grease ((hidden side) of the repaired sheet metal . On the visible side use a grinder to get a the metal white, then put rust proof, mastic and paint.
. it is my experiment of 35 years of fight against this fucking rust. And when you cannot reach the place to put grease, try to make oil flow (rear wings for example).

u.s granadas with 3.3 l or 4.1l were slow as molasses. and were terrible on gas (petrol).
