I had an incident with AirAsia from Bali to KL earlier this year. They set the flight status to gate closing about an hour before if it was due to board. We then had to sit on the plane for an hour until the gate actually closed. Not sure if that was the airline or airport fault?

My company commissioned the terminal way back in 2012. Yes, we were very confused when we first got the drawings - was this a shopping mall or an airport?? It is both! If you do need to park your car at the multi-storey carpark - get in then go down to CP 4 - that is the direct access to the mall and terminal. Park on any other floor and you will need to take the lift down to CP4 anyway to get into the mall/terminal

AirAsia starts to improve with their services post pandemic. During pandemic, theres ton of complaint of flight delayed, cancelation, ticketing refund, etc.

Now I hear good news that they started to activate all their fleet that has been in deep sleep for months. I also hope that the affected customer during pandemic has receive their refund accordingly.

Honestly AirAsia isn't that bad, I had a short flight from Penang to Kuala Lumpur on Saturday before I went back to Paris and it felt far better than any European airline, however I am 6"4 so the leg room did leave a lot to be desired.

I really love air Asia I use them a lot but imo it really depends on what time of the day you’re flying, in my opinion the mid morning ones are usually best then the ones in the late evening. I do think that they are very hospitable and definitely in comparison to Ryan air

Yes ! I adore the audio chaos/competition for air at 8:00 - 8:25. So fun to start shooting video on the plane with all the announcements and advertising going on live! Love it!!1

I took a few flights with them after the pandemic-I think they have improved despite being under administration (PN 17). It was heartbreaking to see all their planes just parked on the tarmac at this terminal just after the height of the pandemic (early 2021) and I am so glad it’s all over now and people have their jobs back.

I'm happy to see Air Asia still has it's game. KLIA 2 looks like it improved a lot

Air Asia is by far the best Budget airline. Better than many full service airlines. Always friendly, helpful staff who smile and seem happy with their job. You rarely get that on Jetstar in Australia and the European budget airlines especially Ryan Air are ghastly. The latter treats customers as poor losers, maybe slightly better than vermin

flew AirAsia (Philippines) for the first time in March between Manila and Cebu. Was excited to see how they do LCC in Asia and was super impressed. The flight was cheap and the add ons were also very reasonably priced. I pre-ordered the Nasi Lemak, which was ridiculously cheap and was impressed at how good it tasted (for a LCC heated up meal!).
Excited to take them around SEA when I go back :)

Flew Air Asia from Hanoi to Chiangmai and then to Bangkok. My experiences are always ruined by couples on holidays who refuse to pay for seats only to disrupt everyone before flights so that they can sit together unmindful of the fact that some of us paid for our seats. The staff are unable to enforce seat assignments as well as they did pre-pandemic.

I recall you had a video with a list of airlines you refused to fly and AirAsia was on that list alongside Scoot, so kinda curious why you decided to give it another shot again.

Or is it more just not for long haul transcontinental flights (e.g. Europe to Asia) but perfectly fine short haul (one SEA country to another)?

In any case, agree on the value that AirAsia offers in the context of being an LCC. And yes, KLIA and more widely Malaysia have very good prices for food.
