Great example of why classics are so enjoyable compared with modern cars.

Older cars such as your BM breathe with the road in a way that many modern cars may not achieve. I seem to recall that car reviews used to be about the driving. Cars of 30+ years ago were smaller which meant the roads were wider in comparison and (I contend) more fun. Simple fun achievable at sane speeds too. Many modern car reviews focus on the infotainment, gizmos, cup holders, phone charging, haptic buttons and so on, and the obvious frustrations of these on the move.

Great to accompany you on your drive today BCG - just love the sound of the engine not throttled by legislation.

It's treating cars like disposable razors that is the main problem with motoring, a classic car should last for ever if well maintained and driven sensibly.

It's such a small car but the interior seems roomier than a new golf. And screw safety, bring back the dashboard shelves.

I drive a Renault 5 gt turbo daily have done for 2 years now people laugh but soon stfu when the turbo kicks in and their clutching the roll cage. I prefer older cars they are drivers cars not all this technology and computers. My r5 is easy to service if I drive properly she gets me where I need as a commuter I get people also complimenting her aswell.
