Oh wow, I didn't know that!
When I was playing a couple of months ago, he didn't seem like that much of a threat, most of the top teams did not run it.
The issue with him was that he auto-rolled some of the teams, which is even more annoying if he's not a popular pokemon, but if you see him, it's automatically over sometimes.

honestly, I write about how magby shouldnt be banned and instead light clay being the main issue
briefly, light clay hyper offense and belly drum sweepers are much more deadlier than in standard play.
they are the so called 'real' problem thats caused magby to be in a dominant position.
With Light clay banned i felt like magby would be far from overpowered since memento only works on one pokemon, resulting magby being easier to be revenge killed.
HYPER OFFENSE IN LC NEED TO BE NERFED.
Also This vote was extremely close at a 60% ban rate, that makes it questionable to really ban it
