Hurricane Idalia is projected to cut right through Florida's Panhandle, including the small island community of Cedar Key. Jamie Rhome, deputy director of the National Hurricane Center, says the storm surge could "completely isolate" the community and flood "nearly every home" on the island. Officials are advising residents to evacuate areas that could see up to 15 feet of storm surge.

"Millions of people will have to flee the arid regions of the world. Coastal regions will be flooded and impacted by tremendously powerful storms and violent weather. People will have to move due to economic reasons—failure of local economies and in some cases national economies."

MV Summers spoke of this back in 2009. Unbelievable it is actually happening now.
