I've found that I can use a hair dryer to move that dark wax around if it drys to quickly or come back a couple days later and realize that's not the look I wanted.

Fabulous. I needed the confidence to tackle a lovely cabinet I’m refurbishing and I’ve learnt the key is the clear wax underneath and what a super tip to further refine the look by adding a little more over the dark. Now I’m looking forward to the project, thank you Annie.

How would the dark wax look on top of Honfleur? I’m planning on painting a dining table top with Honfleur and painting the legs in Classic White

Can I apply the dark brown wax directly onto the paint or do I have to apply a clear wax first?

So in the case of using Athenian black chalk paint, if I want the finished product to be truly dark black, do I have to put a clearcoat or can I just go straight to the black dark wax?
