FIRST Reviews & Reactions of Epic Universe ARE IN!!

Epic Universe has recently opened for previews over in Orlando, and I’ve got some really cool things to show you alongside the first reviews of all the rides! Some new coasters such as Yoy and Mecaladon have opened their doors for the first time, and we’ve had a teaser for the now world’s tallest rollercoaster re-opening in May… Top Thrill 2. And not one, not two but 3 rollercoasters have rolled back here in the UK… Hyperia at Thorpe Park, one at Alton Towers and one at Drayton Manor... what’s going on!!??

It’s been the busiest week of 2025 so far.. because all that and way more has happened this past week in theme parks!

I was at thorpe park on the day of the rollback and valley and me and my mate were walking out and we were happy because we had done all the major coasters twice and hyperia 3 times and then we turned around just to look at the nice view of the rides and then we saw hyperia valley and we both blew into hysterics 😂😂

Something like Mecalodon should come to Thorpe. They have enough thrill coasters but are distinctly lacking family coasters. They could also do with a multilaunch. This'd be perfect

As someone who’s been to epic universe, that is legitimately the best park I’ve been to. The green side of stardust might be my no 1, monsters unchained is the best dark ride of done but sadly ministry of magic wasn’t open

Universal UK finally announced! (Subject to planning approval)
From the render looks to be a circular park around a large central lake (at least for the first park section).
Opening 2031
Looks to be two large (but not particularly tall) rollercoasters but one has a large tower that it makes multiple vertical ascents of, the other coaster appears to come out over the lake for a spiral, theres also a smaller roller coaster on the top of a building which looks like it might house a water park with a couple of small outdoor swimming pools as well. I think I can make out a water filled amphitheatre possibly for shows which appears to house an ornery (edit: No, seen higher res and its firework trails and explosions not an ornery) on top as well as a giant spout of flame, theres an area that looks like a traditional carnival with a lot of theming based on bunches of balloons. Theres a wooded area enclosed by a palisade with some towers (is it a Quidditch pitch?). Theres an extremely large warehouse building (indoor rollercoaster or theatre, could be either?) a pier (so likely boats on the lake). Some rapids (could just be theming). And of course also plenty of other large buildings which will likely house attractions, restaurants and shops. Based on land use close to 50/50 indoor vs outdoor (even the outdoor rollercoasters have stations inside buildings). Crescent shaped building with red roofs next to a giant car park Is I think the hotel and a secondary park entrance to complement the main one which is a giant circular plaza around a Universal logo globe.

Sadly that could all just be a promotional conceptual that wont bare the slightest resemblance to the actual design with value engineering as detailed plans created and during construction.

It warms my heart to hear about so many different theme parks around the world; in America, it sometimes feels like everything is controlled by "The Big 3": Disney, Universal, and Six Flags/Cedar Fair. 😢 To be fair, though, America does have quite a few regional and independent parks--there's Enchanted Forest outside Salem, Oregon near my hometown.

I think to stop Hyperia from rolling back they should add launch fins where it keeps valleying so that as it goes over it will have a little bit of a speed boost
