Some were dropped on junk houses on purpose. But the guy at around 5:00 who was using his hand to clean out the wedge cut in that huge tree is insane. What was he going to do if the tree started tipping and his hand was caught?

My sister had a massive tree cut down that was leaning over her house. They carefully removed tree branches over the house and lowered them to the ground. Then dropped the tree base exactly where they intended. The difference between pros and amateurs is easily noticed

I do pretty much everything myself - plumbing, auto repair, appliance repair, gardening, drainage, etc. But never, EVER would I even consider felling a tree on my own. The reason I save money through DIY is so I have the funds to pay the pros when the pros are needed, and tree felling is definitely not for amateurs.

The guy at 4:00 didn't even have eye protection on, then he casually puts his hand and arm inside that cutout area to wipe away the saw dust and chunks made me cringe thinking if that tree had suddenly began to fall and crushed his hand in there

Shit like this is why, as a landscaper, I don't do large tree removal. I'll prune and shape smaller ones, that's not a problem, but when there's a potential of branches, or the entire tree, falling onto a roof and doing catastrophic damage, I tell my clients to call in an arbourist or tree removal service. Any professional knows his limits and stick to them.

The last clip definitely was not a fail. The tree was huge and it didn't land on any structures.

As a professional logger, watching this, though it's funny as hell, I can say that even guys like me who's fell hundreds, if not thousands of trees over my career will mess up and drop a tree where I don't want to.
I've even had tree's"jump" nearly four inches completely off the stump when it's bound up and under pressure cause of wind damage.
Every tree preforms different.

I think these guys are winners when it comes to demolishing houses using a tree as a quick tool. I would have thought they would have used slings, taken limbs off, chopped it in small pieces but no, they take a whole tree down in one go without a clue where it will land...hilarious.
