LYRICS

Eye for an eye and tooth for a tooth
Hate for a hate and ruth for ruth
Σωσε με ιερια-I am the truth
Σωσε με- Save me -Σωσε με ιερια-Save me Ieria

War for war and woe for woe
Blood for Blood and bow for bow
Σωσε με ιερια-I am the law

CHORUS

The book of lies ,I read,i condemned
The end and aim of the Cynic philosophy, as indeed of every philosophy, is happiness, but happiness that consists in living according to nature, and not according to the opinions of the multitude.
No wild beasts are so dangerous to men as Christians are to one another
And concerning the book you gave me to read,
I read-I understood-I condemned
Flavius Claudius Iulianus-(331-363 A.D)-The last Pagan Emperor

CHORUS

«Νενίκηκάς με, Ναζωραῖε», pronounced: "Nenikekas me, Nazoreae" Meaning: "You Have Conquered me, Jesus of Nazareth". Julian after receiving a deadly wound, immediately filled his hand with blood and cast it into the air and said: '«Νενίκηκάς με, Ναζωραῖε»...Julian (Latin: Flavius Claudius Julianus 331 – 26 June 363) was the Caesar of the West from 355 to 360 and Roman emperor from 361 to 363, as well as a notable philosopher and author in Greek. His rejection of Christianity, and his promotion of Neoplatonic Hellenism in its place, caused him to be remembered as Julian the Apostate in Christian tradition.

(Anegnon, Egnon, Kategnon)
"I read, I understand, I reject!"
- Julian the Apostate.

(His opinion about monotheistic holy books, religions and ideas in general)

(Flavius Claudius Julianus, c. 331 – 26 June 363, was a Hellenistic philosopher, military leader, Roman emperor, and satirist, often referred to as Julian the Apostate because of his rejection of formal Christian doctrines, and opposition to their spread, and sometimes as Julian II, to distinguish him from Didius Julianus. Sometimes now referred to as Julian the Philosopher)

More than just a fan of Ancient Greek religion, he directly questioned the Christian belief system and wanted to give state support to philosophical schools reopening.. He really became a threat to the Church power structure. This man and Andronicus Comnenus are truly the black sheep of Byzantine imperial rule. The latter went against the aristocrats and powerful monasteries of his time. Really interesting and capable individual, with one of the worst public executions ever recorded being his last three days alive.

Honour and glory to the only true emperor of the Eastern Roman Empire, that supported and spread the true meaning of the Hellenic Spirit, before the darkness of christianity totally covers the ideals of the ancient world... Kudos to Rotting Christ for this awesome song!
