Another tip I've got is if you feel like cheating a bit on the diet, align it with a heavy ass leg day. You'll be able to get the most out of the excess calories while still enjoying food you like

Maybe this works for some but for me I literally cannot gain any weight even with forcefeeding and 3 protein shakes a day. Thats up to 4500 calories a day. And yet at 6’1 and 150 lbs I still dont gain weight. And thats me eating all the bullshit that makes it a dirty bulk. Actual gallons of milk and large amounts of dairy along with large quantities of burritos. Ive got no idea what to do at this point. I look shredded, somewhere around 10-12% bodyfat but in all actuality its definitely closer to 15 or 18%.

I’m currently 166 pounds eating roughly 2700-3100 calories a day getting about 300 carbs, 250g of protein, and 80g of fat. Is this too much?

Me in the past i didn't like myself slowly being ruined by eating too much, i bought mountain bike started to ride it and finish atleast 2 - 3 miles then go back again and started lifting dumbbells my body and everything changed

Personally when I first started, I was highly motivated from being able to fill out my clothes and seeing the scale go up, even if most of that was fat. So it depends on the person. I didn't care that other people saw me as a fatass which I was, all I cared about is that I wasn't skinny.
