Totally correct.. immersion is the way..read, read, read choose challenging texts.
I started with Ibn Al Qayyim Madaarij AsSaalikeen, then Shifaa AlAleel, then AsSawaaiq Al Mursalah..no help from anyone ever!! Every time I would ask the teachers in the masjid they would say they could not understand the old classic books, and they couldn't believe I was actually able to cope with them.
The reason I am writing this is to encourage all listeners that Allah is enough for you. In every sajdah I would ask Allah to help me.
يا ربي زدني علما، يا الفتاح افتح لي باب العلم، أستعين بك وحدك انت عليم بذات الصدور.
Allah has told us in Quran that He is enough
سيكفيكم الله
Don't hesitate, I started at age fifty.
Now I am 75.
Still reading eight hours a day.
Memorizing Surat Al Baqarah helps too to fight shaytaan who hates anyone to learn Islam.
But you must spend many hours alone in full concentration and keep up your Sunnah prayers every time.

It's very hard to find an environment 😞 . I didn't learn english through grammer but only through practical speaking. Even though I used to get average marks in English language I was among the most fluent in speaking. Learning arabic is like learning C++ or any other programming language. The world opens to you and you no longer depend on millions of articles with 1000s of opinions but on primary sources.

Asalam Alaikum! Many thanks to the author of the channel for the recommendations! The problem with many people is that they want to take a "magic pill" or get "secret knowledge" and immediately have skills and abilities. However, the truth of life is that knowledge, skills, and abilities do not come by themselves. You can't learn a foreign language without doing anything, without wasting your time and effort, just like you can't learn to ride a bike lying on a comfy couch, listening to lectures and watching videos about "modern methods of learning" on a bike. To really learn something, you have to really practice every day. You're going to fall down while you're learning, and you're going to get bumps - that's normal! The ups and downs of learning are an integral part of our lives. Motivation from success and depression from failure will always be your study companions. However, every student has problems in his or her studies that he or she lacks the knowledge to solve. It can be: poor memorization of words; no progress in language learning; the student can speak, but does not understand speech by ear; misunderstanding of grammar; incorrect pronunciation, etc. Agree that a problem you don't know how to solve is very demotivating. In order to find the answer to our question we have to spend a lot of time to read videos, articles and books by polyglots. In today's world, we have to solve problems as quickly as possible. I don't have time to study and analyze a huge amount of information. My goal is to master the basic knowledge of a foreign language as quickly as possible and already start earning money effectively in the international arena. I settled on the practical guide by Yuriy Ivantsiv " Polyglot's Notes: practical tips for learning foreign language". This book is always in my bag. If I have a problem while learning a language, I quickly find the answer in this book. There are many different techniques and tips for learning a foreign language in Polyglot Notes. I have made my own individual schedule and plan for language learning. Now I know what I am going to study, how I am going to study, when I am going to study and what results I am going to achieve. No problem could stop me! With an effective language learning plan my professional skills are more and more in demand internationally every day. Friends, don't stop there! Everyone has talents that millions of people around the world need! Learn the language and make your ideas and dreams come true! Thanks to the author of the channel for the informative and useful video! Your videos motivate me.

For vocabulary: Type "Understand Quran academy" and start with the 50% vocab series to 90%, this will help you understand the Quran. Then for general vocabulary, study the Bayna yadayk series (type Al Lisan), then Qira'at ul Al Rashidah, then Qisas An Nabiyyeen, then more serious books like Suwar min hayaat as-sahaba/tabieen, then Al Nadharat by Al Manflooti, then study the Quran word for word and Arabic poetry. Remember to listen daily for 1-2h (mainly the Quran at the beginning) so your brain gets used to the language which is how you naturally learned your native language to begin with.

Be consistent and inshaAllah by the time you finish bayna yadayk, you can listen to the other books being explained in Arabic without the need of a Englsh speaking teacher.

I personally believe gateway to Arabic is underrated, it’s one of the best books series made, I teach my students it and use the dialogues from bayna yadayk

1) Read Arabic - 6 months to 1 year
2) Grammar - 200 hours of study
3) Fluency - Writing, listening comprehension. Immersion in a country.

I think 1 & 2 is as far as people go with vocabulary ongoing.

You first have to learn it to then speak it brother. what i did was first the Madinah books then watched Arabic stories for Children ( made from clay dolls ) i think it called Qasas Ambiyah from the Quran then Bayna Yadayk. And AlhamduLillah i am much better in speaking and understanding. The most Important thing is ... To stick to it and Finish it without leaving it. If you can do that then you will be successful in just a few years.

❤ The Prophet (ﷺ) came to us and we asked him, "O Messenger of Allah, we already know how to greet you (i.e., say As-salamu 'alaikum), but how should we supplicate for you?" He (ﷺ) said, "Say: 'Allahumma salli 'ala Muhammadin, wa 'ala 'ali Muhammadin, kama sallaita 'ala 'ali Ibrahima, innaka Hamidum Majid. Allahumma barik 'ala Muhammadin, wa 'ala 'ali Muhammadin, kama barakta 'ala 'ali Ibrahima, innaka Hamidum Majid [O Allah, exalt the mention of Muhammad and the family of Muhammad as you exalted the family of Ibrahim. You are Praised and Glorious. O Allah, bless Muhammad and the family of Muhammad as You blessed the family of Ibrahim. You are Praised and Glorious."'
