LION 4: ALTERNATE ENDING | Steven Universe Review and Analysis

This episode didn't fit in with the arc that the other Steven Bomb 6 episodes have. But as a stand-alone episode it was great! This episode's title wasn't misleading at all. The title said "Alternate Ending" and it was an alternate ending. This episode had a lot of things that they can revisit in the future to elaborate on. It sure gave me a bunch of theory ideas. Although Steven wasn't able to open up the chest in Lion's mane, this was the first time anyone on the show has brought it up. It's not just a decoration, it'll be important later on. Pink Diamond's ship was buried under Rose Quartz's trash dump. It was either a hand/arm ship or legs. The dump was in the same desert that Steven found Lion in, and that Rose was in with her seven lions. When Steven saw the trash dump he was disappointed. I'm sure there would be more interesting things if he looked around more though. He was able to find a tape that said it was for Nora. Nora is not Steven's sister! Rose could not have had another child. She only had one gem to give so she could only have one child (Steven). And it would be very out of character and shocking for Greg to have had another child. Nora is simply the name for gender-bent Steven; nothing more. So if the show was gender-swapped would it be called Nora DeMayo instead? Rose didn't create Steven as an escape goat for her problems, she just wanted a child. She wants him to be him... not her. Lion had one of those lizard-gem creatures again this episode. I'm also glad we got to revisit a few old places in this episode.

Maybe they didn't know his gender when they made the tape but between the filming and the birth, they went to a doctor who told them Steven's gender (I know Rose is a gem but Steven's a human baby so a doctor would able to figure it out and Rose and Greg went there for curiosity). Or maybe both tapes were inside Lion but one fell out.

didnt know how to directly message you. Have you thought about how we recently saw alexandrite and she looked different - could this possibly be because she was a more stable fusion as the crystal gems are a stronger team. could she possibly have her own weapon now ?

In Nora's tape, Rose says that Nora will become half of her while Steven's tape says she will become Steven, what do you think about that?

Meh, I don't know... I thought he already came to the same conclusion at the end of Storm in the Room.. Also the very end of That Will be All, for that matter. I liked seeing all the old and new places, but the same story is starting to get dull, in my opinion.
