Shermy’s definitely Finn’s reincarnation, Beth on the other hand, is Jake’s descendant

Jake is most likely alive becausd in the tombstone you see in the intro. You see the names "Finn" and "Jermain" resulting from jake being an alien he might still be alive

I feel like the Finn sword is in a way a method to show that Finn is still present because the Finn sword is Finn . I'm not sure if this makes sense but that's how I see it
