The four Yugas in Hinduism
Показать описание
This video talks about the concept of the four cosmic time periods also known as the 'Yugas' in hinduism.
Transcript:
Satya yug or Krita Yug is the first Yug. In this yug, we find divine beings known as Devas and Asuras who inhabit different worlds. While the devas live in the swarglok - the desirable realm, the Asuras live in paatallok, the undesirable realm.
And there is this constant power struggle between the two sides, residing in these two different realms, for supremacy over each other.
Next up comes the Treta Yug, which is the second yug.
During this time, the Ramayan, the story of Ram, takes place. Here again, there are two groups - Ram and his supporters of the Bharatvarsha fighting against Ravan and his great Lankan army.
This war is fought in the same realm now but between two different countries.
This is followed by the 'Dwapar Yug’, or the third age.
The Kurukshetra war takes place in this time period. The Mahabharat is, as we all know, fought between the Pandavs & Kauravs, who were cousins.
You see how the fight has come closer to each other? It is being fought within the same family here!
Right now, we are in the Kali Yug, the last and final cycle.
The fight has continued to this age, But where do you think it is fought today?
It is within YOU.
A constant war rages inside of every human today. We all feel a range of emotions - fear, anxiety, happiness, excitement, etc. We are the OWNERS of our own selves. It is up to us, how well we manage this fight and come out stronger!
