Saskatchewan man builds wood-powered truck

On his farm outside Mortlach, Saskatchewan, Cal Rader came up with a winter project: build a truck that can be switched between gasoline and wood power with the flip of a switch. His wood-gas hybrid truck is one of just five in Canada and the first that he knows of in the prairies.

Would it be possible to make wood gas, compress it into a propane tank at say 100 PSI. and then use it in a vehicle?

Gasifiers. Used them for 45 yrs. 1930s pogue carb.. grandfather had the original article from the 40's.
