There was a pool in the old juvenile jail in RI. It was a really old building on the compound but it had a pool and basketball court. They would let kids put on boxing gloves and handle their differences on that court with an old wooden floor. Everybody had to get chained up and taken there on a bus so we only got to go once every 3 or 4 months but that place was wild. They leveled that whole compound and put a shopping center there years ago but I'll never forget those old drafty buildings that didn't even have working hot water half the time. I have some crazy memories from that old yankee jit camp.

Racism still exists but is not as prominent as it was, but financial class discrimination is gaining steam.

I grew up as a white boy in a black neighborhood. I faced racism every day. No one wants to have that conversation

I gave my dope sick cellie my new mattress and a lot of the trash food while we were locked 23. I bailed my self out. He had nothing so I hope he got better. He was so sick we didn’t speak for the first few days.

Your words of wisdom and your humorous point of view (sometimes) is very entertaining. Thanks Josh.

Great video man! Been struggling in life lately and even though this has nothing to do with it, it helped take my mind off it for that short time being, thank you. I pray one day I find success and happiness as you have ! Much love and thank you again!

Well, well, well-come to lockdown 23&1..always entertaining..from the old days of learning how to make a swole with noodles & chips or a tattoo gun from a shaver..this channel is always elvolving..after educating us on stuff like that Josh moved on to prison stories..after that ran it’s course he was ahead of the game & went on to interviewing other men who spent time in lock-up..which many went on to start their own you-tube channels & some with a lot of success & a lot of them not paying homage to the man who put them on..but with an occasional green screen dance routine (with Lucy joining in sometimes if we’re lucky) to a goofy ass skit this channel is always evolving..hell camping in the woods & cooking in the tent to prisons shut down & filming a walk through, surfboard artwork, surfing with the go-pro, & so much more..so if you’re looking to laugh, learn or just plain have fun then your at the right place..Josh/death I’ve been subscribed since spring 2018, , 20, 000-50, 000 subs..I watch every video because you evolve not stay stagnant..much love 23& 1

Hahaha the swim room! We had people asking for ID-10-T form because we said if you didn’t get right ups they would bring everyone cake and ice cream for their birthday. Homies birthday was coming up and he legit went and asked for the ID-10-T form so he could request the cake and ice cream for his birthday. 😂

When I was locked up in county, I convinced a newbie to send a request for a condiment tray at chow time. This channel is awesome.

Something I learned when I went to jail that I’ve never heard you mention…

I was in an open pod with bunks. About 30 of us in there. I get in and find my spot. The first couple of days there was dudes just pacing around and I’m thinking these guys are ready to pop off so I’m nervous wondering what’s going on… I found out shortly after the next couple days. They weren’t ready to throw down most of the time they just bored and needed to move around. You can’t sit on them hard ass bunks too long before you get anxious and sore.

Its crazy how death has literally launched a couple of careers and put guest in position to become millionaires after he got out of prison.

He doesn't get enough credit, for all the bad he's done in his past he's by far redeemed himself.
