In this video of Jake and Joel are Magic, we go over 12 excellent Commander, Magic: the Gathering cards that need to be reprinted as of August, 2021. Whether they show up in a new premium product like Modern Masters, a Commander pre-con deck, or even Secret Lair, they are all very good and are always high in price. A couple of these cards are scarce, while others are not only good in EDH, but also very strong in other constructed formats, which in turn bolsters their price, as some decks will need as many as 4 copies of a given card. The answer in my mind is always lands. Fetchlands, painlainds, shocklands, filter lands, the battlebond duals, triomes, checklands, mana confluences, city of brass, pathways etc, I dont care if the flashy cards are expensive. They arent required to make a deck function. Tiamat is a good example, its a card a new to commander player might want to build so the first thing they do is look at the cool dragons and dragons matter cards when they actually need a couple hundred dollars in lands and mana rocks before they even look at the dragons.

Doubling Season($80)/Parallel Lives($50)/Anointed procession($38) all need many reprints.
All the swords need reprints. Yes only 2 of them are "expensive" but keeping the price down on all of them would be great.

Buy a foreign language version of these cards is a good alternative, usually much cheaper, they are too famous and everyone know what the card do without looking at the text

When does MTG cardlist become so large in the numbers of cards, that WOTC can't even reprint a card for 5 years? Or will we get a new set, and secret lair, every week to keep those staples affordable?

Imperial seal needs a reprint like 5 years ago. I'm really surprised it didn't show up as a chase Mystical Archive card. I mean they could put it in a $100+ secret lair by itself and it would still sell like crazy.

snappy needs a new artwork so badly, rare slot and in 3 variants and this thing is cheap enough

The year is 2332, EDH player's are now allowed to use the latest version of the MTG cardlist encyclopedia to name cards for Pithing Needle.
