Should we be content with being cosmic couch potatoes? Professor Stephen Hawking thinks not. As technology brings us ever closer to unlocking the secrets of Space we must continue to dream about seeing it for ourselves.

Professor Stephen Hawking is one of the world's best known scientists. He has worked on the basic laws which govern the universe and published best-selling books including A Brief History of Time.

“We know there is at least one advanced civilisation with the propensity for destroying species, ecosystems, atmospheres and weather patterns, perhaps entire planets, and it happens to live on Earth” - Hawking

Imagination is a wonderful thing, because it can lead to amazing realities like this. What a time to be alive! ...And I think it would be neat if somebody wrote "Einstein" on the actual probe and put a picture of him somewhere on or in it..

People always ignore science ....even if it is 12th century galileo....or 21st century hawking....or 30th century....people will always ignore science over entertainment

If he had managed to live 10 years more, he would have found the solutions for all the science mysteries..
Unfortunately he is no more and had given those huge responsibilities in the hands of us, who are bodily alive..
Accordingly, a step should be taken towards it, by any influential people ; it may succeed or may not, but we all, as a living human, it is our duty to do that as a tribute to the lived encyclopaedia Professor HAWKING🙏
At least let's stop wasting the natural resources (as he threatened) and killing the time of ourselves watching unwanted cinemas and enjoying (as a result wasting) the whole life..
Though we may not fulfill his dream atleast let us spend our precious time studying his theories and sharing to the people who are unaware of his concepts..
"Although I cannot move and have to speak through a computer, in my mind I'm FREE"
- Stephen Hawking

everyone watching this video will just forget about this video and go on with there lives thats the problem with people everyone is to focused on there lives to relize that we dont even realy matter in this universe we are so small and have no reason to be here nobody even cares about space i think about space everyday most the time i even cry about it 💀 i dont want to be an astronot or be a scientist but i would give anything to go to space theres nothing i love more then space even if there was a 100% chance of dying i would still go just for a chance to go to space

If someone could leave a reply explaining more about what interstellar travel is or how to get more basic info on it, that'd be cool! Thanks.

It's sad to think that stupid music videos get over 1 billion views and videos like this get only 1000 views.

Why is this so underrated?

Is this the start of idiocracy? Or they are not interested with anything like this?

How could spreading out save us from ourselves? What about how we evolve to solve problems? Spreading out would mean there would be less cooperation among people. Is that to say that if we spread out, we would create less problems? I don't think so.

6:00 no offence intended to sir hawkings but from what i get- distance between earth and alpha centauri system is so huge that a spacecraft will take almost all the star mass of the entire galaxy to reach there in human life span. Isn't that a bit too much?

In 2021.. After 2020.. My question is similar to what was asked by Sabz 777. Why does this have less than a billion views? More importantly I ask Humanity.. Do you truly value Life?

Next Gen interstellar - I designed the engine This engine will draw the power from the surrounding Space/Time.. No recharge necessary. background radiation left over from the big bang is propulsion.
