it should be amount of hours spent to give a enable review. Like i dont like if someone puts in a review after spending 5-10mins on it., It should be 3-5 hours minimum to give unlocked any review access.

It should be for people that download and play a game for 5+ hrs and also for the games that people buy that should be able to leave a review, not just anyone to keep it fair.

Reviews are fine and dandy, but reviews don’t dictate my wallet. Some may enjoy a game where others don’t. Play a game for yourself and make your own conclusions.

I love this idea because there are so many games without a demo or even screenshots to show you what they are all about. Also, if the next step in this progression is early access, I am all in 100%.

He’s absolutely right about review bombing. People get sensitive when they see a game they love get review bombed, but the fact of the matter is if you liked the game the review bombs aren’t going to make the game worse, it’s only gonna make it better, so why even be bothered by it? It’s not like we’re working for the company or anything. As consumers we usually benefit from the review bombs. I would say the only example where it could be bad is if the bombing bring down sales so low that it prevents a sequel from happening, but usually when it’s THAT bad thr game probably doesn’t deserve a second chance anyway.

I just purchased a physical game, have played it for over 2 hrs. already, and I still could not add a 5-star review... it said I need to add it to my library, or purchase a digital copy... like WTH ?!? Sounds messed up to me... or am I missing something here ??

Would have liked this feature years ago. Would have saved me from my biggest PSN regret(bought and downloaded all AC chronicles at same time because I trusted the trailer then they ended up being 2D sidescroller.

THe word "revert" was used and spread, but i'm not sure if it was just not official or kept vague on purpose. Apex did not revert as the season is live and the battle pass changes were very much implemented. The one thing they did was allow us to earn the battle pass by playing. My guess is this is a temporary stop gap to slow the bleeding only to remove it some season down the line unless they really see the numbers down. it's fine though as I have spent probably 500 dollars over the years in apex and i won't spend another dollar as i said i wouldn't in my review. Saves me money and if enough of us do it they will learn.

I normally agree with you. But on this I don't. I've seen it on the xbox where games are being 1 star review bombed and clearly not justifiably, all because associated with a certain company. Flintlock is one. It's not a 5 star and its not a 1 star but some people will see the 1 star and not buy the game, which leads to the company not making money and more gaming industry layoffs. How's that a good thing?

i have a solution: just leave the 5 star system but enable it from your ps5 home screen, most ppl just look at their games from there so just add the option there or under info.. your not writing reviews in the store, take the steps out sony!

Platform reviews where you have to buy the game in order to leave a review will deter review bombing. Metacritic suffers from review bombing because it doesn't verify if the person leaving the review has even purchased the game, platforms like Steam and PS where you have to purchase the game in order to leave a review (even with the current star system on PS) you won't get reviews from people who just want to give an opinion vs people who have legitimately purchased the game and are writing a review. Unless you expect people to buy a game just to leave it a negative review, then I expect that platform reviews where you have to buy the game in order to leave a review will be the best way to truly tell what the community think of that game.
