The OS is looking like Android 4 or lower. You see it in the settings app, at the low battery warning and at other things.

Fun fact: I bought a brand new Samsung galaxy m02 running real android 10 with 3GB RAM and 32GB ROM for just 50$!
And a huawei y6s running android 9 with 3GB RAM and 62GB tom for 100$ in my country.

The version is 4.4, The control center/notification center looked like that on other smartphones I owned running the same version (Coolpad, etc.)

They lied about it having a Mediatek MTK6889 because that's actually a decent processor. The MTK6889 is actually called the Dimensity 1000. There's no way a $42 smartphone is packing a Dimensity 1000 chip ! Whatever they have in there is probably some garbage like Rockchip or something like that !

When you had pulled down that notification tray. Right off the bat, it's some Android 4.X.X not 11 !!. They simply edited the version in the settings app. You should have tapped on the version multiple times to reveal the exact version it was running.

the phone's using what appears to be android jellybean or KitKat. Also the mt6889 isn't a bad soc, it's actually comparable to an sd778g, but clearly they're straight lying about the specs. I'm also doubtful as to if it has a 3000mah battery. I'm guessing it's at most 2000

The cheapest smartphone on Amazon for me is a used Nexus 5X for £40 which will blow anything else you can get brand new, for the same price, out of the water.
