A climbing bike is a special bike for climbing below the UCI weight limit. Disc brakes are heavy, super-light rim brakes like ZeroGravity, which I paired with Nokons in the 2000s, were much lighter, but didn't do much braking. In total, my 2004 bike weighed 6.24kg with pedals, computer, bottle cage and aluminum clincher rims.

that new saddle mount is very common on giant bikes. The advantage for this design is, as long as you unscrew just 1 of the 2 nuts, and move the saddle to a new position, and retorque that 1 nut only, to the same torque as before, the angle of the saddle will remain approximately the same. my sl6, I have to always re-adjust the saddle tilt when I move the saddle aft or fore.

I started dieting to lose weight about a month ago and as of today I have lost eleven pounds. My goal is to lose 25 lbs. But I can report I am faster on the bike already. This didn't cost me a dime, in fact I saved money by cutting out some of the comfort foods I was eating. Proving you don't have to spend thousands of dollars for a light weight bike and components, who would of thunk it.

Grant, agreed on the old seat post cradle, 1 bolt that allows the cradle to adjust vertically and allow the saddle to moved back n forth.
Simple design works flawlessly.

Love the look of what is now my dream bike. They really made a good decision when they lowered the weight. Frameset purchase at 5400 is a yes once I can find a way to hide it and the other components I would have to buy from my wife (building and holding it for a friend is a possible story)

My rim brake S-Works SL6 (54) is still half a Kg lighter with CLX50s and Dura-Ace. Not going to buy any new disc brake bike until the weight gets down to comparable or lower values...

Nobody is pointing out the elephant in the room that a 54cm bike comes with a 42cm handlebars? The fact that you still can't choose your cockpit depending on your size is beyond me. Maybe for the future iterations work with a fixed seat posted everyone is the same size anyway and you easily save 100grams extra.

The Rotors are RT-CL900, which are branded as Dura Ace, not XTR 🫶🏻

those look way cooler on road bikes than the XTR rt-mt900 imo, but up until now they never came specced on complete bikes
