Nice new subwoofers! I have listened to them at the Prolight + sound 2014 last April. They are great subwoofers with loads of power and functions. I have talked to an employee from Electro-voice and he has instructed me the DSP at the back and several applications where you can use them. Now I own 1 ELX118P sub with the ELX115P tops, I am going to extend this set to 2 subwoofers but also in the future an extra ETX set. You can defenitely hear the difference between the ELX118P and the ETX-18SP.

I know me and Alex talk extensively about these subs but can you feel them in your chest when far on the dance floor in an event. These subs are quite good but I think that there are better options in terms of volume out there.

Does the sub outputs have a hi pass filter going to the tops?

Hi Guys,
I enjoy watching your videos.  Congrats on all your success and growth.  I was watching the school dance that you did with the etx-18sp subs.  As you all know, teenage dances are demanding and high energy.  The etx-18sp is a great sounding and loud sub, however it seems like your gigs are usually school dances.  Have you had a listen, or rented yorkville ls801p subwoofers?  They get a lot louder then the etx, and have the booming bass that is needed at school dances.  The best part about it is they can be purchased for around $1100 new.  They are pretty heavy which is no big deal, you have plenty of help.  They DON'T sound as good as the etx subs, but you would need at least 3-4 etx's to keep up with 2 ls801's.  Also,  Have you noticed that your zlx tops hit the limiters pretty early?  Everything i've read about them say that they sound good, but just run out of gas early.  Have you listened to the etx tops or the zxa5 tops.  The zxa5 top is so loud that most dj's use 3-4 subs per top.  Once again, not trying to knock what you do or how you do it.  Just talking shop and sharing information.  Keep growing and doing your thing.

Why don't you put the ZLX's on a sub pole to have the ZLX's over the subs

So doug.  Right now we are looking at 4 ZLX-12P and 2 ETX-18SP. Total minimal wattage we are looking at 2000 watts (ZLX-12P) 1000 (ETX-18SP) = 3000 watts min and 4000 watts + 3600 watts = 7600 watts max.  I don't think y'all needs to rent anymore subs from renters.  Have fun!

I have had these since November 2016 I bought the 12p ETX, I bought these and I'm having problems with them clipping already ? I'm a soloist singer, I've only ever set them up on ODB same on my mixer, I don't drive them at all, I even have a BBE Sonic Maximiser, I use DYNACORD mixer newest model unpowered version, yet my EV ETX 12p have been clipping I'm very disappointed after spending over £2000 on these, I used to have EV ZX5 15" powered with Crown XTX 4000 amp lovely sound flawless never missed a beat in 9 years, wish I'd kept them, only reason I changed was carrying to much for a soloist, will be contacting EV really disappointed.
